ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE AT GI

Easy,Easy,Easy!!! Did I say Easy? LOL Couldn't be anymore easier. Guylou's Inimitability is having an Anything Goes Challenge. It's that easy but there is a Challenge Policy in the left margin of Guylou's Inimitability blog. Make sure you read and follow if you want a chance to win.

The winner will be awarded a digistamp of her choice from Guylou's Inimitability Store and will also be invited to be a Guest Designer on an upcoming challenge and will get another GI digistamp to make a card or project along the DT.

As a member of the design team I got to play with the featured Digistamps, "Phillip"and "Molly". They would be the perfect choice for your favorite waiter/waitress or even the cook. Make a few small cards to keep in your purse for a creative and fun way to leave a tip. What a great way to brighten someone's day.

I am sort of partial to this image. This is "Emma" and that is my sweet granddaughter's name. She looks so much like my Emma when she stands and plays her piano. Don't you just love her?

This is "Marysse". I love her because she is doing my favorite pastime....reading.

I have trouble doing masculine cards. What about you? No problem when you have an image as fabulous as "Jace".

Valentine's Day,Love and Red....

....three of my favorite things. I love walking into the stores and seeing all the RED screaming out at me. Valentine's Day is almost here and with it comes love,and with love there is the infamous Cupid,and where there is Cupid,you will without a doubt find the color RED!. Guylou at Guylou's Inimitability has created a fabulous digi image that will be perfect for your special Valentine.
Now for the real news. You can't possibly have Valentine's Day,Love,Guylou's Cupid digi image and the color Red without having a challenge, right? Of course not. That is exactly why Guylou's challenge this month involves the color Red. It's just that simple....make a card using the color Red.To play, read the Challenge Policy on her GI blog.

A New Year Challenge at Guylou's Inimitability

Happy New Year! I guess I am a little late in sending New Year wishes. God is always blessing me and 2010 was no exception. The arrival of my grandsons Braydon and Chase got 2010 off to a great start. There have been some bumps along the road getting from 2010 to 2011 but nothing God didn't get us through. Can't wait to see what He has in store for us in 2011.
One amazing thing that happened in 2010 was the beginning of Guylou's Inimitability digi stamps. Guylou is starting the year off right by having her first challenge of the new year over at Guylou's Inimitability.

This is how you can play:

Just upload a newly made project to your online blog or gallery. Then leave a link to your project in the linky widget at the bottom of her post on Guylou's Inimitabilty site..Your entry will count as follows:

* You can enter any project as anything goes and it will count for one entry.

I couldn't have said it better myself. A smile is contagious and can really light up someone's day. Let's all try to share a smile and in turn cause someone else to smile. Had to smile today when I finally had a chance to check my blog comments. Gina at Gina Speaks left a comment to get myself over to her blog. Of course I think she used different terminology to tell me! LOL Love ya!! To my surprise she had given me an award. Now I love awards...means you're doing something right. She awarded me with the Stylish Blogger Award. Gina was also chosen to receive this award and then she was to bless 8 other bloggers. The other requirement is for me to tell you 8 things about me and then forward this on to 8 other stylish bloggers. So here we go.......

1.I love being a Nana to Emma,Chase and Braydon and mother to David,Joshua, Laura and TJ and an extended family from my husband's first marriage of a son,daughter, 5 grandsons,1 grand daughter and a great grand daughter.

2.I met my husband in a Winn Dixie parking lot. Love this man to death!!

Christmas is in the air.

Can you feel it? Ahhhh....I can. It feels and smells like Christmas. Christmas lights are burning everywhere. Shoppers are rushing to and fro. Santa is watching whose naughty and nice. Children anticipating what Santa will bring. But best of all....the celebrating of the Newborn King. Jesus! What would Christmas be without Him? Nothing...absolutely nothing. Without Jesus there would be no Christmas. Jesus is the reason for the season. No matter how hard the world may try they will never be able to take the "Christ" out of Christmas....Never!!!

Phillip and I enjoyed a wonderful meal tonight at our Senior Christmas dinner.(oh...and I am not the senior...he is! LOL) All the tables were beautifully decorated and the food was scrumptious. Here is a picture my sister took of us tonight.

She was so much fun to color. Liquid applique was used for the fur in the image.

It's been a long time since I have updated anything here at my blog. I am going to try to do better. With new grandson, Braydon ,Emma and Grandson to be, Chase, I should have plenty to fill up a blog. LOL Not to mention I am now a design team member for Guylou's Inimitability. This is a wall hanging that Phillip made using soda cans. You would never know by touch that this was made of aluminum. Sort of feels like paper. He made this to hang in the outside garden. I love it.

Valentine Day is on it's Way!

Well, Christmas has come and gone and we've made it to 2009. Decided I would start sharing some of my creations. This is the first Valentine card I have made this year. I used some of my Smitten paper leftover from last year. The scallops were made using my marvy punches. I stamped the image and colored it in. The large heart in the upper right and the two heart on the bottom left I stamped again and pop dotted them. This will probably be the first of many to come!LOL

Look what Santa left by the tree. LOL Finally getting a chance to show off some pics I took of Emma at the tree. We started with clothes on, but she was a bit uncooperative. She needed to be changed and we decided to try again in her diaper. I love this shot here. We had a wonderful Christmas with all the children here. I can't believe it's already 2009. Maybe with all the holiday rush over I can keep up with this blog a little better.

Three Generations

Three generations of Haneys are represented in this photo. My husband Phillip....his son Phillip(we call him Dewain) and his son Phillip. When we are all together and someone says Phillip, it can get very confusing. The youngest Phillip just got married. Remember....the dried red beans!LOL It is not very often that we get a picture of the three of them together. I'm sure there will be another Phillip in the future!

I've Seen it All!

Well, I have seen it all now. Phillip's grandson got married yesterday in a simple ceremony at the grandmother's house. As things were winding down and the bride and groom were preparing to leave the grandmother realized she had forgotten to get birdseed to throw. They were looking for anything they could find to substitute for the birdseed. Yes, you guessed right if you took a hint from the photo. We threw dried red beans!!! I could not stop laughing long enough to throw mine. I've been to a lot of weddings but I think this is the funnest thing I've ever experienced at one. The Bride and Groom didn't seem to mind, of course they are young and in love so a few beans didn't cause any problems. If anything it gave them a memory. It's something none of us will never forget.

Ahhhhhh....Sleep!

Sleep. That is what I needed last night. I did not sleep well the night before and I was dragging when I got home yesterday. On top of that it has been raining and that just seemed to make my eyelids heavier. I managed to stay awake through Wheel of Fortune, but stretched out on the sofa for Jeopardy and that was end of story. LOL Phillip finally got me awake enough to tell me to go to bed. You would have thought I had been drinking if you could have seen me trying to walk to the bedroom. I was staggering and stumbling all over the place. How sweet it was to collapse into a nice warm bed with fresh clean sheets. Needless to say I slept like a baby. Just like little sweet Emma in this photo. How fortunate I am to be able to sleep in a bed in a warm house and protected by a loving heavenly Father...just like Emma. No need to worry about a thing...just go to sleep and let Him take away the cares of the world. Ahhhhh.....sleep! May you enjoy a restful and peaceful night. Sweet Dreams!

Blessed! That is how I feel today. A few months ago I was wondering how we were going to make it til the end of the year financially. Phillip was told he should hear from his disability in December and then the lawyers told him it could be a couple more years. Thank God for the people he has placed in our lives to try to get some results. Through these tough times it is amazing to look back and see His hand at work.

Phillip had loaned $500 to someone never expecting to be repaid. Then out of the blue last month the borrower showed up to repay the loan. The money came at just the right time...not a moment too soon or a moment too late. Isn't it amazing how God works. He didn't promise to give me everything I wanted, but He did promise to supply my need. He has even blessed me with a lot of the things I don't need....such as all my scrapping supplies. The photo I am sharing today are two of the little girls in my life He has blessed me with. Emma is my granddaughter and Laura is my daughter and Emma's Aunt. It is a rare occasion that I get my daughter to pose for the camera.

Take the time with me this Christmas season to stop and remember how BLESSED you really are.

I've Caught the Bug!

Yes, I think I have finally caught the bug. The blogging bug that is. After a long and crazy day at work it has been relaxing for me to sit here and reflect back on the happenings of the day. Sure, I could do that without a blog, but I would be leaving you out. This way I can share a little bit of my life with others. Like today....my wonderful husband, Phillip called and wanted to take me to lunch. That was just what I needed to get me through a crazy day at work. I never tire of being with that man. When I got home from work he was all excited to tell me about his day. He had been to check on an elderly shut in who had been sick. While he was there she had another visitor. The visitor was the man that used to own the local newspaper. They enjoyed an afternoon of reminiscing. Before he left this gentleman gave my husband a signed copy of a book he had written. He is absorbed in it at this moment.LOL

This is another photo I took at the dinner Saturday night. "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" comes to mind when I see this photo at this the Christmas season. May you be able to say "Glory to the Newborn King" just like the angels did that first Christmas.

So...yes...I think I've caught it! I've caught the blogging bug!!

18 Days Til Christmas!

Can you believe it? Only 18 days til Christmas. As a child it seemed Christmas would never get here soon enough. Now as an adult it seems Christmas is here before you know it. My what a few years can do to the perspective of things. We just had our Christmas dinner for our seniors at our church. The table were decorated beautifully and the food was delicious. Of course I snapped plenty of photos. This photo of the candles is one of my faves. Thought it would be a great one to share with my blogger friends. If you're one that can't wait til Christmas arrives just be patient and enjoy every moment. For those of you that Christmas seems to sneak up on, remember it comes the same time every year!LOL Most importantly,remember, Jesus is the Reason for the Season!

I guess you can now say it's official. I have a blog. I'm not sure how this will turn out, but will give it a try. You see, I love to read but I am not much of a writer. Not sure how much I will have to say.LOL Plenty of nothing perhaps. At least it will give me a place to show off Emma Rose, my grandaughter.
